Background and Introduction
African Leadership magazine, in collaboration with the Centre for Economic & Leadership Development, is putting together the Africa Summit – London 2016 as a global platform for showcasing Africa and the continent’s contributions to the world, while fostering the debate and discussion on building a strong and virile Africa, in spite of myriads of challenges facing the continent today. It is an avenue for shinning the spotlight on the trends, opportunities and challenges facing Africa while sharing experiences and best practices for the overall benefit of the African nations and its citizens, moving them from potential to possibilities. The organizers seeks to create a nexus of the key issues affecting the continent’s future, growth and stability. This includes issues such as gender mainstreaming; rethinking Africa’s security and counter terrorism strategies; Harnessing the power and potential of Africa’s Young people for a better future; while availing investors an insight into the investment climates and opportunities in diverse sectors of Africa’s ecosystems.
The Africa Summit will also seek to explore how African countries can address its unique and peculiar challenges within a Global Context.
